Symmetric Pro is the name of our high speed symmetric speed service now available in certain areas (check with us for current availability). We offer both low contention and dedicated (1:1 contention) services at speeds ranging from 5 Mbps to 100 Mbps, subject to availability.

The services are provided over 5 GHz, 60 GHz, or 70/80 GHz microwave links or via our own localised fibre optic networks where available (fibre currently available within Eastgate House, at Highnam Business Centre and The Steadings Business Park). In non-fibred areas, due to the nature of microwave links, please note that the service will require direct "line of sight" to a suitable Symmetric Pro node.

Symmetric Pro - BT tail

We can now also provide very high speed symmetric services within central Gloucester (defined as businesses within the geographic coverage of the main BT exchange in Gloucester). Due to the cost of the BT tail circuit, these are only suitable for speeds of 100 Mbps and above.

For example:

100 Mbps at 1:1 contention for only £395 per month exc vat.
100 Mbps at 5:1 contention for only £245 per month exc vat.
(installation cost is £2,000 exc vat plus any "Excess Construction" costs charged to us by BT Openreach for the installation of the fibre tail)
